About the player
David Paraschiv came through Petrolul Ploiești's own youth setup, having arrived at the club from Bucharest's youth ranks in early 2024. Within months he had signed his first professional contract, and by the 2024/2025 season the midfielder was already making his senior debut.
Born in Bucharest, Paraschiv stands 1.85 metres tall and operates as a central midfielder, wearing the number 21 shirt at Petrolul. His move up from the youth team carried no transfer fee.
International recognition has followed at youth level: Paraschiv has been capped once by Romania's under-20 side. He has yet to add to that tally.
At club level, he has not yet featured in a title-winning Petrolul side — the team's recent successes in Liga I, the Cupa României and the Supercupa României all came before his promotion to the senior squad.
