About the player
Fabian Björklund is a product of Kalmar FF's youth academy, having come through the club's ranks since signing his first contract in May 2022. He played for the club's under-19 side in the P19-Allsvenskan before his promotion to the senior squad in August 2026, marking a step up entirely within the Kalmar FF structure — he has no history with any other senior club.
His Allsvenskan debut season began with tough away trips. Against IFK Göteborg on 9 August 2026 he played until the 82nd minute as Kalmar went down 1-3, and a week later, on 16 August, he started against Hammarby IF before being substituted in the 55th minute of a 0-4 defeat. Those two matches formed part of an opening run of five appearances in the top flight for the young midfielder.
Björklund represents Sweden at youth level. At club level, he is a side he joined as an academy prospect and has never left.
