Facundo Sanguinetti

Facundo Sanguinetti is a goalkeeper who has spent his entire career at the club that raised him. Born in Lanús, he came through Banfield's academy, signing his first professional contract with the club in 2020 at the age of 19. His route to the first team was gradual, and he did not make his senior debut until 23 October 2022.

In 2025, Banfield handed him the captaincy.

Sanguinetti's involvement with Argentina has so far stayed at youth level and largely on the fringes of selection. He was called up to the Argentina under-20 squad for the 2021 South American Championship, though that tournament was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic and he never took the field. He later featured among the candidates for the CONMEBOL pre-Olympic tournament ahead of Paris 2024, and in March 2024 he was added to the Argentina under-23 squad for friendlies against Mexico, coming in for Leandro Brey. He was not included in the final squad for the Olympic Games.

At club level, Sanguinetti has yet to win a trophy or collect an individual award.
