About the player
The most notable episode of Gellért Dúzs's career came during the 2024/2025 season, when Budapest Honvéd sent him out on loan to Budafoki MTE and he found himself facing his own parent club from the other side. His agent called the move controversial.
Dúzs came through Honvéd's own academy. He joined the youth ranks after starting out at SBTC Jgd. in his home city, moved up through Honvéd's age groups and was playing for the club's U17 side before making the step into the senior squad in the 2019/2020 season. Since then he has built up around seventy appearances for Honvéd in the NB I before his loan spell interrupted that run.
At international level, Dúzs has represented Hungary at U21 level, including appearances in European Under-21 Championship qualifiers, though he has not been capped by the senior national team. He has not won a major trophy with Honvéd during his time at the club.
