About the player
Hannes Delcroix's World Cup call-up came without the usual apprenticeship: he made his senior debut for Haiti only on 14 October 2025, a 3–0 defeat to Honduras in qualifying. Named in Haiti's 26-man squad for the 2026 finals, he started all three group matches, against Scotland, Brazil and Morocco, each ending in defeat for his side.
He joined Anderlecht's academy in 2013 after spells with FC Horendonck, Royal Antwerp and Beerschot, signed his first professional contract in January 2017, and made his senior debut in August 2018. A season on loan at RKC Waalwijk followed, where he made 23 league appearances before returning to Brussels. Back at Anderlecht, he was part of the squad that won the Belgian Pro League in 2021–22.
He moved to Burnley in August 2023, a transfer reported at around €3 million. His time in England was interrupted by a loan to Swansea City for the second half of the 2024–25 season, and he returned to Burnley for the following campaign before it, too, came to an end: in January 2026 he joined FC Lugano on a free transfer, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Born in Petite-Rivière-de-l'Artibonite, Haiti, Delcroix plays as a left-footed defender.
