Ilnur Alshin

Ilnur Alshin took up football at nine at the Tyumen-SDYUSHOR-92 school under coach Viktor Knyazhev, and between 2006 and 2010 he trained at the Brazilian Football School's Russian branch in Novorossiysk, including a spell in Brazil itself. That path led to Spartak Moscow's youth academy, where he spent three seasons and won the Russian youth championship in 2013, having finished runner-up the year before.

He left Spartak's academy for Fakel Voronezh in 2013, then a Professional Football League side, and became a fixture there, making 91 appearances and scoring 13 goals before moving on. A three-year run followed at Tosno, then in the second tier, then a loan at Avangard Kursk that turned into a permanent deal — with seven goals in 28 games. Spells at Tambov and then Baltika followed, the latter his longest single stint outside Fakel: 97 matches and 14 goals across three seasons in the First League.

Alshin returned to Fakel in 2022 for a fee of €100,000 and has since passed 100 appearances in this second period. In August 2019 he was awarded the title of Master of Sport of Russia.
