Ivan Gjango

Djantou came up through the academy at Les Astres FC in the Cameroonian Elite One and made his senior debut there before leaving the club in mid-2023, having refused to extend his contract. The move took him to Albania, where he joined KF Skënderbeu and scored one goal in 17 league appearances during the 2023–24 season.

In June 2024 he signed a four-year deal with Danish Superliga side Sønderjyske Fodbold, and the switch paid off in his first full season: around 30 league appearances and four goals for the club in 2024/25. In the autumn of 2025 he went out on loan to Odd BK in Norway's OBOS-ligaen, scoring twice in nine or ten appearances, but talks over a permanent move to Odd did not lead anywhere.

Aalesunds picked him up instead. On 12 January 2026, freshly promoted to the Eliteserien, the club paid Sønderjyske a fee reported at around €200,000 for Djantou and tied him to a contract running to the middle of 2029. He has since settled into the side, contributing a goal and an assist across roughly 11 league appearances.

Internationally, Djantou has been involved with Cameroon's under-23 side, though he is yet to add a cap for the senior national team. In October 2022 he was among a group of players left out of the U23 camp over disciplinary issues.
