Juan Pablo Ruíz Gómez

Juan Pablo Ruíz Gómez started out at CA Brown de Adrogué, the club where he came through as a youth player before turning professional. From there he moved through the Argentine lower divisions, spending several seasons at Estudiantes de Caseros interspersed with loan spells that took him to Belgrano, Ferro Carril Oeste and, eventually, Ecuador's Delfín SC.

The clearest marker on his record dates back to 2015, when he was called into the process for Argentina's under-23 squad ahead of a tournament in India. He did not make the final list.

His move to Emelec came in January 2024, initially on loan with an option to buy. The Ecuadorian club featured him regularly in his first season, and he scored twice in the Liga Pro. Emelec made the deal permanent in January 2026, taking up the option and securing his services beyond the loan spell.

Ruíz Gómez is a right-footed forward. That profile has followed him through his career, from the amateur and semi-professional Argentine circuit to South American top-flight football in Ecuador.
