Julius Kirkko

Julius Körkkö scored his first Veikkausliiga goal at 17, in May 2024 against Haka, and by the end of the 2026 season had put together 14 league goals for AC Oulu across three seasons, with a further three added while out on loan at OLS. Born in Haukipudas, he stands 185 cm tall and came up through Finland's youth ranks, gathering caps at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level before a step up to the under-21s. His under-17 spell was his most productive at international level, with two goals in eight appearances during 2022 and 2023. A senior call-up for Finland has yet to follow.

Recognition at home came in 2024, when the Northern Finland Football Association named him its Boy Player of the Year. That form on the pitch soon caught the attention of clubs abroad, and in July 2026 he left AC Oulu for Danish Superliga side AC Horsens in a deal worth €600,000, with add-ons that could push the total to €800,000.

Team honours have not yet come his way, and the move to Denmark represents the next test of a career built almost entirely at AC Oulu, the club where he progressed from a teenage debutant to one of its more reliable sources of goals.
