L. Camara

Lamine Camara joined Génération Foot in Senegal in November 2019 and worked his way through the academy before making his senior debut there in 2021, when he made 23 appearances and scored twice. FC Metz signed him in February 2023, and after a spell with the club's reserve side, Metz B, in early 2024, Monaco moved for him that July.

At Monaco he has settled into a regular role, making more than 55 appearances and finding the net more than five times. He also lifted the Trofeo Joan Gamper with the club in 2024.

Camara's rise has been shaped as much by his performances for Senegal's youth and senior sides. He made his senior international debut in July 2022 and scored his first goal for the national team that same month, against Eswatini in the COSAFA Cup. Since then he has gone on to earn 49 caps and seven goals. He was part of the Senegal squad that won the African Nations Championship in 2022, was named to the Team of the Tournament for that competition, then took the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations with Senegal's youth side in 2023, where he was named Player of the Tournament. He added the Africa Cup of Nations title in 2025. His performances at youth level earned him the CAF Youth Player of the Year award in both 2023 and 2024.
