The number 10 at Montevideo Wanderers is worn by a player the club produced itself. Luciano came up through the Wanderers youth system in Montevideo and was given his professional debut in 2018, while still a teenager.

He is a forward who has also been used wide, on the right side of the attack. That flexibility is part of why he arrived early: a young player who can be fitted into more than one shape gives a coach a reason to name him.

What has followed is unusual in Uruguayan football, where the academies of the Primera División tend to be departure lounges. Wanderers have remained his club. He has stayed through the years since the debut.

The record is a domestic one, built in the Uruguayan top flight rather than abroad. For a forward brought through by a single club and kept there, the measure is continuity: the same dressing room from boyhood, the same league, and a squad that has gone on picking him.
