Louis Oppie

Louis Oppie is a full-back who began in Hertha BSC's academy, later moving on to Hertha Zehlendorf and then Hannover 96, where he progressed to the reserve side and made 61 appearances in the Regionalliga Nord. When his youth contract expired, he joined Arminia Bielefeld on a free transfer in July 2023.

Bielefeld became the platform for his breakthrough. Across 71 league appearances in the 3. Liga, Oppie helped the club win the title and secure promotion to the 2. Bundesliga in the 2024–25 season. He also started in the Westphalian Cup final win over Sportfreunde Lotte, though he was replaced at half-time. The highlight of that campaign came in the DFB-Pokal, where Bielefeld reached the final against VfB Stuttgart. Oppie started the match, but also lost the ball in the build-up to Enzo Millot's decisive goal as Stuttgart won 4–2. Earlier in the same cup run, he had scored in the last-16 victory over Freiburg.

St. Pauli signed Oppie in July 2025 for a fee that could rise to €3 million with bonuses. He went on to make 26 league appearances for St. Pauli, scoring once, as the club suffered relegation from the Bundesliga after finishing 18th. A thigh injury sidelined him for 16 days in December 2025.
