Lazar Stoyanovich

The move that took Lazar Stojanović out of Serbia came in August 2026, when the defender left Čukarički for Al-Shabab of the Saudi Pro League on a one-year loan with an option to buy. The fee was not disclosed. It ended a stay at the club that had begun long before his senior career: Stojanović came through the Čukarički academy and was playing for the under-19 side in the Omladinska Liga Srbije in the 2020–21 season.

The step up took time. He made his senior debut for Čukarički in October 2023 and, across his years in the first-team squad, finished with 35 league appearances and no goals. The club was in no hurry to move him on. In May 2025 Stojanović signed a contract extension running to 2029 — a commitment that lasted a little over a year before the loan to Riyadh was agreed.

His international record is confined to one age group. Between November 2023 and March 2024 he played for the Serbia under-19 team. There is nothing at under-17 or under-21 level, and no senior cap.

Stojanović is from Smederevo. At 187 cm and right-footed, he is built for the aerial side of defending, though the available record credits him with no individual awards or titles at either youth or senior level.
