About the player
Louis Bostyn joined KSV Roeselare's academy, and it was there that he made his senior debut in the Belgian Second Division, though appearances were scarce — just five over two seasons. In July 2014, he moved to Zulte Waregem on a free transfer, debuting in the UEFA Europa League against Zawisza Bydgoszcz.
For years Bostyn was Zulte Waregem's reserve goalkeeper, and it was not until the 2020/21 season that he established himself as first choice. By then he already had a Belgian Cup winner's medal from the 2016–17 campaign, secured while still waiting for his chance between the posts. Since taking over as number one, he has passed 80 league appearances for the club.
The 2023–24 season brought Zulte Waregem back to the top flight: the club finished as runners-up in the Challenger Pro League, behind champions Beerschot, and won promotion to the Belgian Pro League. Bostyn played 14 matches in that league campaign.
Bostyn has not featured for Belgium's senior national side, with no loan spells along the way.
