About the player
Lucas Gazal came through the Red Bull Brasil academy before making his professional debut with Aparecidense, where he was a regular in a defence that won the 2021 Série D title, one of 33 appearances he made for the club. The move to Atlético Goianiense followed in 2022, and it was from there that his path took two detours: a loan to Mirassol in 2024, then a spell in China on loan at Shandong Taishan in 2025.
Fortaleza brought him back to Brazil in August 2025, initially on loan from Atlético Goianiense, with the deal structured so the Ceará club paid no loan fee up front but held an option to make the move permanent. That option was exercised in January 2026, and Gazal signed a contract with Fortaleza running to 2028.
A right-footed centre-back, he has not been called up to the senior Brazil squad.
