About the player
Moulaye Haïdara began his career at CS Banconi's youth academy before moving on to Yeelen Olympique, where he made his senior debut and stayed until August 2025. That month he left Mali for Austria, joining SK Rapid Wien II on a free transfer and signing a contract until 2027. He made his 2. Liga debut for the second team against SV Austria Salzburg soon after arriving, and the move paid off quickly: he scored seven league goals in the 2025/26 season for the reserve side.
His Austrian Bundesliga debut followed in February 2026, against FK Austria Wien. Since then he has made six Bundesliga appearances and scored once for the first team, while also getting minutes in the UEFA Conference League and the Austrian Cup.
Haïdara has also broken into Mali's youth setup, winning two caps for the under-23 side. He scored on that stage too, netting against Indonesia U23 in a friendly in November 2025.
