Markus Johnsgård

Markus Johnsgård grew up playing for FK Senja, his local club, where he spent six seasons and scored 25 goals in 109 league appearances before stepping up to Raufoss IL in 2021. There he added 18 goals in 52 league games before moving to Tromsø IL in January 2024 on a contract running to 2027. His time at Tromsø brought only 12 league appearances that year, and in September he was loaned out to HamKam, where he featured eight times before the season closed.

HamKam had the option to sign him permanently but initially turned it down during the loan spell. They changed course in February 2025, taking him on at a reduced fee of 680,750 Norwegian kroner, around €60,000, once the buy clause was revisited.

Across the 2025/2026 Eliteserien season Johnsgård has made 16 appearances, though just four as a starter, plus two outings in the Norwegian Cup.

He has not been capped by Norway at senior or youth level, a contrast with his cousin Henrik Johnsgård, who has represented the country's under-18 side.
