About the player
Hebo Rasmussen has worn the captain's armband through his third spell at Lyngby.
The path back to Lyngby was not straight. He came through Hvidovre IF as a boy before Nordsjælland took him into their academy, and he made his senior debut there in 2014. A loan to FC Vestsjælland followed, and when his Nordsjælland contract was cancelled by mutual consent in 2016, he moved on to FC Fredericia, where a full season yielded seven goals in 41 appearances. Lyngby signed him for the first time in 2017. He left for Vejle in January 2019, was loaned out to Silkeborg later that year, and returned to Lyngby again in 2020 — only to move abroad in 2021, joining Polish side Cracovia, where he played 40 games and scored three goals over three years.
When his Cracovia contract ran out, Hebo went back to Lyngby as a free agent in July 2024, and the club made him captain for this third stint. It is in that role that he has left his clearest mark on the club.
On the international stage, Hebo represented Denmark's U23 side at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, wearing the number 8 shirt he still carries at Lyngby today.
