Mutalip Alibekov

Alibekov came through Makhachkala's own academy before leaving home young, joining the CSKA Moscow youth system. A single senior appearance in the Russian Cup was the extent of his CSKA breakthrough; from there the path ran through Khimki and Baltika Kaliningrad, with loan spells taking him as far as Belarusian side Smolevichi and back to his home city with Legion Dynamo.

The turning point came in July 2021, when he signed for Dynamo Makhachkala as a free agent. He established himself quickly and was made captain. Under his leadership, Dynamo won their group in the Second Division in the 2021/22 season to earn promotion, then climbed again into the Russian Premier League, making their top-flight debut in July 2024. He has since made more than 120 appearances for the club, including a Man of the Match performance against Dynamo Moscow in August 2025.

Alibekov represented Russia at youth level, playing for the under-18s in 2015 and the under-19s across 2015 and 2016, a spell that included qualifying matches for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship. He has not been capped by the senior national team, though he said in a February 2025 interview that he would like the chance to join the squad.

Every move of his career has come as a free transfer or a loan, without a significant fee attached.
