About the player
Nicolas Bajlicz came up through FK Austria Wien's youth ranks before moving to Germany in August 2020 to join 1. FC Köln's academy. In January 2022 he returned to Austria, joining Rapid Wien's youth setup, and from there worked his way through the club's reserve side, making 70 appearances and scoring seven goals for Rapid Wien II. He was part of the group that won the Austrian Eastern Regionalliga title with the reserve team in the 2023/24 season.
His first-team debut came on 31 July 2025, when he was brought on as a substitute in the 75th minute of a 4–2 win over FK Dečić Tuzi in UEFA Conference League qualifying. The following month he moved on to SV Ried in the Austrian Bundesliga, where he made 22 appearances during the 2025/26 season. On 1 June 2026 the club exercised a buy-back clause to re-sign him, and he signed a contract running until 30 June 2030.
Bajlicz has represented Austria at U18, U19 and U21 level, with six caps for the U21 side to date, though a senior call-up has not yet followed.
