Nkosingiphile Nhlakanipho Ngcobo

Nkosingiphile Ngcobo came through the Kaizer Chiefs academy after joining in 2014, having also had trials at Jomo Cosmos and AmaRoto. He worked his way up through the club's youth sides, playing in the Multichoice Diski Challenge with the U21 and U23 teams between 2018 and 2023, and made his senior debut for the club in the 2018/19 season. Loan spells at Black Leopards and Durban City stayed within the same reserve-team structure rather than senior football, and Ngcobo has otherwise remained with the Kaizer Chiefs first team since 2019.

His name is best known in South Africa for a single moment: a long-range strike against Sekhukhune United on 12 December 2021, in a match Chiefs won 2–0. The goal was voted the DStv Premiership Goal of the Season for 2021/22 and also picked up the PSL Goal of the Month award for December of that year. He backed that up with recognition closer to home, being named Kaizer Chiefs Player of the Month for December 2020 and again for January/February 2021.

Internationally, Ngcobo has represented South Africa at youth level. He was named in the Best XI of the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and was part of the squad at the 2020 Summer Olympics with the Under-23 side, though he has not yet been capped by the senior Bafana Bafana team. At club level, his time at Kaizer Chiefs has so far come without a major trophy, with the DStv Premiership, Nedbank Cup and MTN 8 all eluding the side during his spell in the squad.
