Oleksandr Klymets

Oleksandr Klymets made his name at Volyn Lutsk, the club whose academy raised him from 2013 after he had come through the Kovel sports school and a spell at the amateur side Munkach Mukachevo. He broke into Volyn's senior side in 2018 and went on to make 85 league appearances for the club, scoring four goals from the left side of defence, before the 2020–21 season delivered his one major honour to date: the Ukrainian First League title, which took Volyn back up to the Ukrainian Premier League.

That promotion proved to be the high point of his time in Lutsk. In July 2022 he left on a free transfer for Karpaty Lviv, where he made 15 league appearances over a single season. A year later, in July 2023, he moved on again, joining Epitsentr Kamianets-Podilskyi, also known as Epitsentr Dunayivtsi, once more as a free agent.

At Epitsentr he has settled into a regular role, passing 60 league appearances for the club and wearing the number 97 shirt, a contrast to the 88 and 98 he wore during his years at Volyn. A left-footed defender by trade, the Volyn promotion campaign remaining the clearest mark of his career so far.
