Pape Cabral spent nearly a decade in the youth ranks at CS Mainvilliers before Monaco brought him into their academy in the summer of 2022. Within a year he had lifted the Coupe Gambardella with Monaco's under-19 side, beating Clermont 4–2 in the final, and he later captained the same age group to a runner-up finish in the Otten Innovation Cup, losing out to PSV Eindhoven.

Cabral signed his first professional contract with Monaco in February 2025, a deal initially running to 2028 before the club extended it through 2031. He made his senior debut in Ligue 1 against Lorient in September 2025, and has since added appearances in the UEFA Champions League as a central midfielder.

His progress has run in parallel through the French youth international system. Cabral, who holds dual Senegalese and French citizenship, has represented France at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level. He featured at the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, and with the under-19s he scored twice in a qualifier against Liechtenstein for the 2025 European Under-19 Championship.
