About the player
Panutche Camará passed through the youth ranks at GS Loures, Vitória de Guimarães and Barnsley. He joined Crawley Town in 2017. He stayed three seasons, made 103 appearances and scored six goals, and Plymouth Argyle signed him on a free transfer in 2020. He made 80 appearances and scored six goals for Plymouth, and was named the club's Player of the Month in both December 2020 and January 2021.
Ipswich Town paid around £500,000 for him in 2022, but he made only a single league appearance before going out on loan to Charlton Athletic for the 2023–24 season.
Internationally, Camará has represented Guinea-Bissau since making his debut against Sudan at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. He has gone on to earn eight caps, including further appearances at that tournament against Egypt and Nigeria, friendlies against Angola, Burundi and Burkina Faso, and World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and Egypt in 2025. His only international goal came in a friendly against Equatorial Guinea in March 2022.
He joined Dundee United in 2025 on a free transfer, activating a relegation release clause in his contract, and now wears the number 8 shirt.
