Pontus Dahlberg

Pontus Dahlberg's breakthrough came at IFK Göteborg, where he made 29 league appearances in the 2017 Allsvenskan season and was named the competition's Newcomer of the Year. That form took him to Watford in January 2018, though the move barely changed his daily life at first — he was loaned straight back to IFK Göteborg for the rest of the season and added ten more league appearances there.

What followed was a run of loans that scattered him across two countries. A brief spell at FC Emmen in the Netherlands yielded no league football at all, before a return to Sweden with BK Häcken produced 22 league appearances in 2020–21. He then tried English lower-league football with Doncaster Rovers, making 18 appearances before Watford recalled him in January 2022, and finished that loan sequence with six games at Gillingham.

By August 2022, with his Watford contract effectively terminated, Dahlberg went back to IFK Göteborg on a permanent basis. He stayed until the end of the 2025 season, adding 36 league appearances in this second spell. At international level, he has earned two senior caps for Sweden, debuting in a friendly against Estonia, on top of 19 appearances for the under-21 side that included the 2017 European Under-21 Championship.

Dahlberg's move to Lillestrøm was confirmed in December 2025, with the medical and signing completed before the turn of the year and his official registration following in January 2026. He has since made 14 league appearances for the Norwegian club.
