About the player
Raúl Tavares Pulido came through Real Madrid's academy, playing in the Cadete and Juvenil sides between 2014 and 2017 before starting his senior career at Getafe B. There, in the 2018–19 season, he made around 28 appearances and helped the side win promotion to Segunda División B, sealed by a 4–1 playoff victory over CD Lealtad. He was briefly registered with Getafe's first team in 2019 but did not add significant appearances there.
What followed was a long tour of Spanish football's lower tiers. Tavares moved through Rayo Majadahonda, Racing de Ferrol, La Nucía, Betis Deportivo, UE Cornellà and Unionistas de Salamanca.
His longest stay came at CD Guadalajara, where he joined in 2024 and built up between 47 and 67 appearances, scoring once, before his departure in 2026. On 1 July 2026 he moved to Ukraine, signing for Epitsentr Dunayivtsi on a free transfer after his contract with Guadalajara expired. He put pen to a two-year deal running until 30 June 2028, joining the club alongside fellow Spaniard Nene. Epitsentr Dunayivtsi did not disclose further details of the contract.
Tavares has no senior or youth caps for Spain. His career has been built largely in the third and fourth tiers of Spanish football, with the Getafe B promotion in 2019 standing as his clearest team achievement to date.
