Saabri Kondo

Sabri Kondo grew up on Zanzibar and took his first steps in football at KVZ, the local club he stayed with until 2024, when he moved to Singida Black Stars to begin his senior career. A loan spell at Coastal Union followed in early 2025 before he made the switch to Swedish football, joining BK Häcken. Though some records have listed him as right-footed, Häcken's own announcement of the signing pointed instead to his left foot as the tool he uses to finish.

Kondo's biggest impact so far has come with Tanzania's under-20 side. He was a leading figure as the team won the CECAFA U-20 Championship in 2024, beating Kenya 2-1 in the final, and he scored five goals across the tournament, form that earned him the competition's Best Player award.

He has since stepped up to the Tanzania senior national team, making his debut in a 1-0 win over Sudan in an African Nations Championship qualifier in November 2024. He added a second cap in January 2025 in a friendly defeat to Burkina Faso, though he is yet to score for the senior side.

Before completing his move to Häcken, Kondo also had a trial at Sirius without earning a contract.
