Samuel Léopold Marie Gueulette

Gueulette's path to Belgium's top flight was not a straight line. He came through the youth ranks at FC Brussels before joining KAA Gent, where he spent five seasons working up to the reserve side, alongside two years in Anderlecht's sports-études programme. When Gent let him go in 2019, he moved to AFC Tubize on a free transfer and made 14 senior appearances in his first season as a professional. A year later he signed for KSV Roeselare, only for the club to go bankrupt that September, leaving him without a team just months into the deal.

He found his footing at RAAL La Louvière, joining as a free agent in April 2021. It has proved the making of him: more than 133 appearances and six goals since, and a squad member as the club worked its way up to the Belgian Pro League. The club rewarded him with a contract extension in May 2024.

Internationally, Gueulette represents Rwanda, for whom he debuted in a friendly win over the Central African Republic in June 2021. He has since earned 12 caps, featuring in qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against opposition including Nigeria, Benin, Lesotho and Libya. Among the results he has featured in is a win over Nigeria in November 2024. He has yet to score for the national side.
