About the player
Stanislav Kleshchuk came through the Dinamo Minsk academy, but his six years registered with the club, from 2018 to 2023, never produced a single senior league appearance. A brief loan spell at Energetik-BGU Minsk in 2022 yielded just a single appearance, but it set up what came next.
After his contract at Dinamo Minsk was terminated, Kleshchuk signed permanently with Energetik-BGU in January 2023 and finally became a first-choice goalkeeper, making 17 appearances and keeping five clean sheets in the Belarusian Premier League. That season also brought a silver medal in the Belarusian Higher League. A year later, in January 2024, he moved to FC Gomel as a free agent on a two-year deal and has started regularly ever since, with 19 appearances in each of the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
His form at Gomel drew wider attention: in September 2024 he led the Belarusian Higher League in save percentage. He capped the 2025 season by being named Gomel's Best Goalkeeper, and earlier in that campaign he was named Player of the Round after keeping a clean sheet against Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino. In January 2026, Gomel extended his contract to the end of November that year.
