Tim Schreiber

Tim Schreiber spent three years as an RB Leipzig player without ever appearing in a senior league match for the club, farmed out on loan for the whole of his contract. It was elsewhere that he built a reputation: at 1. FC Saarbrücken, in the 2023–24 season, he was central to a run to the DFB-Pokal semi-finals, and a 2–1 win over Bayern Munich earned him the nickname "Pokalheld" — Cup Hero. He also lifted the Saarlandpokal that year, though he watched the final from the bench.

Before Saarbrücken, the loan spells had taken him through Hallescher FC, where he made 23 appearances in the 3. Liga, and Holstein Kiel, where he started against Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal while the club's first-choice keeper was injured. A short stint with Kiel's second team followed before Saarbrücken.

In May 2024, Dynamo Dresden signed Schreiber on a permanent deal reported at between €150,000 and €200,000. He immediately became the club's undisputed number one, and helped Dresden finish second in the 3. Liga in 2024/25 to secure promotion to the 2. Bundesliga, with Arminia Bielefeld taking the title. He was named to the 3. Liga Team of the Matchday after a goalless draw against Hannover 96.

Born in Freital, Schreiber came through Dresden's own Borea academy before RB Leipzig picked him up, where he was part of the youth side that won the B-Junioren-Bundesliga Nord/Nordost title in 2017/18. He has represented Germany at various youth levels, including the U17 European Championship, but has not been capped by the senior side.
