About the player
Vincent Vermeij signed his first professional contract at Ajax in July 2013 and spent a season with Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie, but never made it into the senior side. He later played for De Graafschap, scoring 34 goals in 84 appearances, before moving to Heracles Almelo and, eventually, into German football with MSV Duisburg, where he added a further 22 goals in 56 games.
He also played for SC Freiburg II, scoring 26 times in 64 appearances across two seasons and earning a single outing with the senior Bundesliga squad. In August 2025, Dynamo Dresden paid €250,000 to bring him in, and he settled quickly, scoring 11 goals in 24 appearances for the club.
At international level, Vermeij represented the Netherlands at under-21 level, earning five caps and scoring once in 2016.
