About the player
Timur Mukhametjanov's route to the Kazakhstan Premier League ran through the country's lower divisions rather than a straight academy path to the top. Born in Temirtau, he came through the Shakhter Karagandy system and made his senior debut there in 2021, also turning out for the club's reserve side, Shakhter-M, in the Second League before a loan spell with Shakhter-Bulat in the First League in 2022.
He left Shakhter in 2024 for Zhas Kyran, where he contributed three league goals and one cup goal across 25 appearances. A year later, on his birthday in April 2025, he signed for Makhtaaral, still in the Second League, and scored six goals in 16 matches.
On 19 June 2026, Mukhametjanov signed for Irtysh Pavlodar, stepping up to the Premier League for the first time in his career. He made ten appearances for the club by September, though he is yet to open his goalscoring account at this level.
