Vincent Johansson

Vincent Johansson left Halmstad as a teenager for Genoa, joining the Italian club's under-18 squad on a free transfer in February 2024. It proved a productive spell: he helped Genoa's under-18 side win the Serie A/B title that season.

Rather than push on in Italy, Johansson returned to Halmstads BK in August 2025, signing a new contract running until 2028. The club presented the move as a homecoming, with the midfielder rejoining the side that had developed him before his move abroad and no fee changing hands.

He made his senior Allsvenskan debut for Halmstad in the 2025 season, appearing three times without scoring, and added two further appearances in 2026 before Halmstad sent him out on loan to Laholm FK in March 2026 to gain more regular football. The loan paid off in terms of game time and end product: at Laholm, playing in Ettan Södra, Johansson scored twice in eleven appearances.

His progress has not gone unnoticed at national level. In September 2025, Johansson was called up to train with Sweden's under-21 squad, though he has yet to earn a senior or youth cap.
