Nothing in the record beats what the club's own youth sides pulled together at the turn of the century: two straight 1st League titles in 2000 and 2001, on the back of a vice-championship at under-18 level in 1997. Those were the years the production line worked, and Cyril Krejčí is the proof of it — a Czechoslovak national team captain who went to the 1980 Olympics and was named best player at the 1985 European Championship.

The men's team has spent most of its life in the 2nd League, in and out of it since 1985, with earlier spells there in 1959, 1961 and 1964–65; the top flight and any national cup simply never came. The women were closer once — third in the championship just after the war, playing then under TJ Sokol, before senior women's volleyball at the club had to be rebuilt from 1972 onwards. The line runs on: an under-18 women's side reached the Extraliga Final Four in 2024.

Organised volleyball in Havlíčkův Brod goes back to the early 1930s, the section joining what became TJ Jiskra in 1951, two years before the wider sports society itself was founded. The games are still played in the same small hall on Ledečská, three hundred seats.
