Husqvarna Women open the 2026 season in Elitettan, Sweden's second tier, for the first time since the club came into being. Promotion followed a 2025 campaign in Division 1 Mellersta, the club's second rise through the divisions since winning Division 2 outright in 2018.

Husqvarna FF was formed on 3 February 1987, when the football sections of Husqvarna IF and Huskvarna Södra IS merged into one club. No record survives of when the women's team itself started; what is known is that it was already playing in Division 1 Södra, then the second tier, back in 2003.

The nickname Smålands Arsenal belongs to the club as a whole, carried over from Husqvarna IF rather than coined for the women's side. Matches against IK Tord of Växjö count as the regional derby, and Husqvarna have held the Toyota Cup, Småland's own tournament, since 2023, retaining it in both 2024 and 2025. Home games are played at Vapenvallen.

Filippa Curmark came through the club in 2011 and 2012 before leaving for BK Häcken, where she captained the side to a Swedish championship and went on to win caps for the national team.

Across that 2025 season, Husqvarna were beaten just once.
