Ironi Modi'in

Ironi Modi'in does not play at home in Modi'in. With no ground in Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut ready for football at this level, the club sends its supporters instead to Bat Yam, some way off on the coast, to a stadium capped at 3,100.

The team was put together in 2009 at the initiative of Duda Ben Shimol, a former sports journalist, working alongside the city's mayor, Haim Bibas. The first match followed on 11 September that year.

The rise since has come in stages. A Liga Gimel (Central) title in 2011/12 sent the club up to Liga Bet, and a second title there, in the South B section in 2021/22, brought a first promotion to Liga Alef. A strong 2024/25 season carried Ironi Modi'in a step further still, up into Liga Leumit, Israel's second tier, in 2025.

Shlomi Arbitman, once capped for Israel and formerly of Maccabi Haifa, is among the names who have pulled on the club's blue and white, mostly in the later stretch of their careers.

Bat Yam Municipal Stadium remains the address on the fixture list, a small ground now carrying a club playing above the level it was built for.
