Maccabi Ahi Nazareth

Anas Dabour came up through the youth ranks at Ilut Stadium before moving on to spells at Maccabi Netanya and Hapoel Haifa in the Premier League.

Maccabi Ahi Nazareth grew out of a merger between two local sides, Al-Ahli and Al-Salam, in 1967, and for most of its history it has shuttled between the third and second tiers of Israeli football. The one season that stands apart is 2002–03, when the club won the Liga Leumit and, alongside Bnei Sakhnin, reached the Israeli Premier League for the first time. They lasted a single campaign before relegation. A second promotion followed in 2008–09 through the play-offs, and again the stay in the top flight lasted just one year.

The closest the club came to a cup run was 2014–15, when they beat Maccabi Netanya, FC Ashdod and Hapoel Kfar Saba to reach the semi-finals of the Israel State Cup, before Maccabi Tel Aviv ended it 0–3.

Relegation to Liga Alef came at the end of 2022–23, but the club won the Liga Alef North group in the 2025–26 season, on course for a return to Liga Leumit before the league programme was halted at the end of March 2026 because of the war.
