Maccabi Bnei Raina

Ligat Ha'Al has not seen Maccabi Bnei Raina relegated since the club arrived there in 2022. Nof HaGalil, known as Reineh until its municipal renaming, gave the club its Arabic-Hebrew hybrid identity, and its presence in the top flight made it only the second Arab-Israeli club to reach that level, after Bnei Sakhnin.

The current club is not the same continuous project its badge suggests. An earlier incarnation ran out of money and folded in 2008, and nothing wore the name again until Saeed Basoul, a local businessman and nephew of Reineh's long-serving mayor Jamil Basoul, bought the rights and restarted it in 2016. From there the rise was fast rather than steady: three promotions in succession carried the club from the lower tiers into Ligat Ha'Al by May 2022.

The Green Stadium holds 5,200, and yellow and black remain the only colours the club has worn since the refounding. No State Cup, no Toto Cup, no title sits in the cabinet yet, which makes the promotion itself the closest thing to a defining achievement, sealed against Hapoel Umm al-Fahm in a match the club still treats as its sharpest rivalry, in the absence of a fixture with the weight of an established derby.
