Omonia Women

Nicosia carries two of Cyprus's biggest football institutions inside the same city limits. The multi-sport club dates from 1948; the women's side came only in 2017, and not by absorbing an existing team — it was built from nothing.

Four years later Omonia beat Apollon in the Cypriot Cup final to take the 2020/21 trophy.

Home league matches are played at the Koinotiko Stadio Parekklisias.

Chara Charalambous came through the club's own system and has since been called up by Cyprus — a midfielder who plays forward often enough that the distinction has stopped mattering.

The green and white are shared with the parent club, as is the badge; a red change strip is the only visual departure.
