Potkozarje

Potkozarje reached the doorstep of Republika Srpska's top flight. The Regionalna liga – Zapad title came first, in the 2024/25 season; a year later the club took the Druga liga RS – Zapad as well, a result that sent it into the Prva liga RS for 2026/27. Along the way it also reached the final of the Kup Grada Laktaši, getting past Sloga Trn on penalties in the semi-final.

Aleksandrovac, the village near Laktaši the club plays out of, gave little sign of producing a side capable of that run when Potkozarje was founded in 1971. The step up to the first-tier debut brought in Vlado Jagodić as head coach, a figure already known in the region from spells at Borac Banja Luka, Kozara Gradiška, Laktaši and Radnik Bijeljina. On the pitch, Luka Kovač has been a key attacker in recent seasons, finishing as top scorer and best player of the 2024 Memorial Tournament as well as leading the way in the 2023/24 campaign.

That tournament, held each July and named after Bojan Vuković and Dragan Mitrović — two young players who died before their time — has become fixed on the club's calendar, with a ninth edition played in 2025. In August 2026 the Government of Republika Srpska backed the club's development with 300,000 KM in aid, pointing to the youth academy, which now counts more than 200 members. What Potkozarje has not yet done is prove any of it at the level it is about to enter; the Prva liga RS will be the first real answer.
