Radnik Hadžići

The team that went up to the Yugoslav Second League in 1972 had won the Sarajevo zone under Ivica Petković.

The war stopped everything. Football in Hadžići resumed in 1994 because former players — Rešad Kulenović and Sedik Fejzić among them — decided to put the club back together rather than let 1948 be the whole story. Two years later Fejzić was in the dugout when Radnik won the southern group of the Bosnian second tier and reached the top flight for the first time under the country's own flag.

The 1996–97 season answered that quickly: last place, straight back down. Nihad Rejzbegović had captained the promotion side; the division above was a different proposition entirely.

The pattern has held since. Radnik won the central group of the Federation second league in 2009–10, went up to the First Division, came back down. In 2018–19, with Damir Beka in charge, they won the same group again and made the same step up. Three second-tier titles, and no season above that level worth remembering.

Gradski stadion Hadžići, which also carries the name of Anđelko Lažietić, was rebuilt with a new stand completed in 2025, taking it to 1526 seats. It is a small ground for a town of that size.

Among the older names, Dževad Kulenović is the one Hadžići still calls its sportsman of the century.

What Radnik has never managed is to stay anywhere. Promotions it can produce, roughly once a decade; a season in which the club consolidates instead of turning straight around and going back down has not arrived.
