Slovan Bratislava Women

Football arrived in Bratislava under the name 1. ČsŠK Bratislava, formed on 3 May 1919, and the club that grew from it eventually put a women's team on the pitch under the Slovan crest, the sky-blue shield with its double cross on three hills. No record fixes the year that team took shape, but its results place it among the most decorated sides in Slovak women's football.

Fourteen league titles carry the club's name through Slovak football, starting in 1994/95 and running in clusters through the 1990s, the early 2000s, and again from 2008/09 to 2011/12, before returning in 2015/16, 2017/18 and 2018/19. The Slovak Cup came later and just twice, in 2017/18 and 2021/22, giving the domestic double a rarer shape than the league record alone suggests.

Goalkeeper Mária Korenčiová spent seven years at the club, from 2005 to 2012, before a move to AC Milan and spells at SC Freiburg and SC Sand; she went on to captain the Slovak national team through more than 130 caps and was named the country's footballer of the year in 2020. Veronika Klechová, on the pitch at Slovan across the same years, took the domestic footballer-of-the-year honour in 2008 before continuing her career at Cardiff City LFC.

Home matches are played at Štadión Pasienky, which holds 11,591, with Štadión Rapid Ružinov used as a secondary ground. The fixture against FC Petržalka carries its own name in Bratislava, the bratislavské derby, while the tighter contest in recent seasons has been with Spartak Myjava — a rivalry that turned in Myjava's favour in 2025/26, when it finished top of the table ahead of Slovan.
