Ziraat Bankası Ankara

A CEV Cup does not come quickly for a club with Ziraat Bankası's domestic record, and when it finally arrived at the end of the 2024–25 season. The Super Cup, by contrast, has become almost routine: five wins since 2010, three of them in a row across 2021, 2022 and 2023, then again in 2025.

None of that came with the ease the recent run suggests. Two third-place finishes in the CEV Champions League, in 2023–24 and again in 2025–26, mark a club that keeps reaching the closing stages of Europe's toughest competition without quite breaking through to a final.

The club traces to 1981, a creation of the bank whose name it still carries, separate from the bank's own founding more than a century earlier. Matches are played at the TVF Ziraat Bankkart Voleybol Salonu, a ground that seats 7,600 and shares an address with the club's sponsorship-driven name of the moment. Across town, Halkbank supplies the fixture Ankara volleyball turns out for every season, a derby that has shaped how each club measures itself against the other more than any league table does.
