Szőnyi úti Stadion

Zugló still calls this ground the BVSC stadion, though the sign at Szőnyi út 2 has read something else more than once — Hernády Stadion, Lokomotív-stadion, and back again. The names track the club's own shifting identity more than any change in the ground itself, and BVSC Budapest have stayed put through all of it.

The pitch tells its own story. What stands there now dates only to 2015, and not by chance — Hungary's football federation put up most of the money, the district council the rest, and the rebuild swapped in three new artificial-turf training pitches alongside a resurfaced natural-grass centre pitch. It reopened in stages: the main field first, in the depths of winter, the satellite pitches a few months after. Grassroots budgets rarely stretch that far in one go, and this one did.

What the ground is not, is big. Even the highest of the competing capacity figures put it in the same range as a mid-table lower-division venue, and other listings run half that. It was never built for crowds — it was built for a club whose name has changed shape several times without ever leaving Zugló.
