Karcsag cruise past Bvsk with Konyves hat-trick
Karcsag made light work of Bvsk at the regular season fifth round, running out 4-1 winners under the lights. The visitors had already looked comfortable by the time N. Konyves found his third, and here's the thing — it was never really in doubt after that early flurry.
K. Csernik got the visitors ahead in the second minute, and then Konyves struck twice in quick succession around the half-hour mark. Bvsk's defence had nothing to do all evening for the first twenty minutes, before Konyves picked one up last week and delivered again.
M. Kovalovszki pulled one back for the hosts in the fifty-first minute, but by then Karcsag had already settled into a rhythm. D. Laszlo restored the two-goal cushion before Konyves completed his hat-trick with a late finish to seal the result.
Statistics tell a mixed story — Bvsk had more attacks at 108 to 79 and more shots on target at five to four, yet Karcsag took their chances more clinically. The visitors' clean-sheet run came to an end in style, moving them into sixth place with ten points from six games.
Bvsk remain in twelfth with just four points from five matches, a run of three defeats without a win stretching back to the opening weekend. The high line was picked apart again tonight, and the wheels came off for the home side once more.
