Videoton FC

The name on the shirt has changed so many times that a supporter who left Székesfehérvár in the 1990s and came back a decade later would have needed a programme to work out who he was watching. Vadásztölténygyár, Videoton-Waltham, Parmalat, MOL Vidi, Fehérvár — a club has worn close to twenty different names, the sponsor of the day stamped over whatever came before, until the board finally circled back in 2025 to the version most people had used all along: Videoton FC Fehérvár.

The football underneath the branding has been steadier. Between 2011 and 2018 the club took the Hungarian championship three times, and it paired those titles with two cup wins, in 2006 over Vasas on penalties and in 2019 against Budapest Honvéd. Nemanja Nikolić put his name on the record books during that stretch, finishing as the league's top scorer three times and ending his spell as the club's leading marksman in the top division. Further back, it was Ferenc Kovács who gave the club its one brush with continental prominence, taking Videoton to the final of the UEFA Cup in 1985.

Home has been Sóstói Stadion throughout, though not without interruption. The old ground was pulled down in 2016, and for two seasons the team travelled to play its home fixtures at the Pancho Aréna in Felcsút while the new 14,201-seat stadium went up in its place, opening in 2018. Blue and red have stayed constant on the shirt through every rebrand, taken from the city's coat of arms — the one detail sponsors were never asked to change. It is there, back under the Sóstói floodlights and back under its old name, that the club plays now.
