Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex

Yaoundé, Cameroon

The Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex (French: Palais polyvalent des sports de Yaoundé) occupies a distinct space in the city of Yaoundé. It is not the open-air stadium where the national football team plays, but rather an indoor facility located in the Briquetier district, close to the PlaYce shopping centre. Built by the People's Republic of China as a grant-funded project.

Construction was implemented by the Shanxi Construction Engineering (Group) Corporation, with design work carried out by the China Aerospace Design and Research Institute. The venue was inaugurated on June 19, 2009, following the completion of a project funded by a Chinese government grant of RMB 203 million and interest-free loans. Its official capacity is 5,263, though Volleybox lists it as 5,200.

It serves as the home venue for the Cameroon national basketball team and the club FAP Basketball (Force Armée et Police). There is no evidence of senior football or futsal clubs using it as a home ground. No official attendance record is documented. It is distinct from the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo, an outdoor football stadium in the Mfandena district with a capacity of ~38,509 and natural grass surface, which hosts Canon Yaoundé and the national football team. The Multipurpose Complex has no former names and no recorded rebuilds.
