Metz drew 2-2 with Saint-Étienne at Stade Saint-Symphorien on Saturday evening in a Ligue 2 match that had everything. The visitors led twice before the hosts found a way back into it. By then, the result meant little for either side's ambitions, though the gap at the top remains.
