Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker and Bears RB D'Andre Swift claimed offensive player of the week, headlining NFL's Week 1 individual awards across both conferences.

Kenneth Walker was the AFC's offensive player of Week 1. The Chiefs running back carried 23 times for 173 yards in a 31:10 win over the Denver Broncos, finishing with 191 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

In the NFC, the honour went to D'Andre Swift. The Bears running back gained 124 yards and scored three touchdowns on 18 carries as Chicago beat the Carolina Panthers 59:37.

T.J. Watt took the AFC defensive award. The Steelers linebacker returned an interception for a touchdown, added two sacks and four tackles, three of them for a loss, in a 20:13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Zack Baun was named NFC defensive player of the week after 12 tackles and two pass breakups for the Eagles in a 24:22 win over the Washington Commanders.

Evan McPherson claimed the AFC special teams award. The Bengals kicker made all four of his field-goal attempts, two of them from beyond 50 yards, plus two extra points, for 15 points in a 33:27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFC special teams honour went to Cardinals receiver Simi Fehoko, who blocked a punt in a 26:14 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
