NFL Slashes Ticket Prices for Colts-Commanders London Game
Sunday's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium clash faced weak sales, pushing the NFL to cut prices to £79 — angering fans who paid up to £245 in the summer pre-sale.
The NFL has slashed ticket prices for Sunday's game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Commanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, cutting its lowest 2026 category to £79 ($105) after weaker-than-usual sales. Some of the discounted seats include prime locations. Fans who paid full price months earlier now face the prospect of watching from beside empty seats that cost a third of what they did.
The league had charged up to £245 ($325) for admission when tickets first went on sale in the summer. With the north London venue at risk of falling below 60,000 for the first time, the NFL sent emails to ticket holders outlining the reductions and put remaining inventory on UniDays, where university students could get half-price deals.
Andy Burrows, the NFL's international fan of the year for 2025, paid £235 ($312) in the summer pre-sale for a lower-bowl seat near the 15-yard line to guarantee he would see his team, the Commanders, play. A seat near his sold this past week at the discounted price.
He called the approach "a bit shambolic."
"They don't care about the fans. As long as that place sells out and it looks good on TV, the NFL won't care about us," Burrows said. "And I'm not alone. I speak to fans every day."
The episode may push early buyers toward waiting for late discounts next time round, undercutting the pre-sale model the league relies on to gauge demand for its London fixtures.
